It has been 6 days and Carson is progressing very well in his second hospital and second room in this hospital. Yes he was upgraded out of the PICU to the regular pediatric ward on the 5th floor with the big boys! Unfortunately no TV in this room so he missed the Super Bowl, but he did correctly predict a Giant victory. He is off of the nasal prongs and is breathing room air again, his only pain in on his butt. The poor guy has a bad case of diaper rash caused from d$%#* because of the antibiotics he was on. The doctors say he is doing great and his pediatrician came by today and said he sounded good. He is still sounds congested to me, but I guess it is almost the end of the road for this case of RSV. He also weighs in at 6 pounds 8 ounces, more than mine and Allison's birth weights and he is still 2 weeks from his actual due date. We are hopeful he can return to his rightful home by tomorrow or Wednesday if all goes well.
