Here are some images of Carson's home for the past 16 days. You can see his comfy "isolate" they keep him in. He has a comfortable bed that they change everb day. This unit can be temperature controlled, but Carson is doing so well he can now regulate his own body temperature. You will also notice the monitor, which shows his heart rate, respiration rate and oxygenation levels. These are all good. When they are out of the acceptable range their is annoying alarm and a red light goes on. You can also see he has a nice blanket to cover his isolate to make his environment darker, since during the day their is a lot of flourescent lights. Carson is in Bed #2 and I think he kind of got jipped, because it is near the entrance and also near an open hall that goes to some of the doctors offices, so it is quite well trafficked. The third photo shows are a couple of gifts he received for Christmas, one from grandma and the second from a anonymous NICU nurse. Carson is a favorite. Anyways thought I would show where he lived and this is significant because by tomorrow morning he will be moved to a new home in the NICU where the level 2s go, hopefully it will be much quieter and calm without as many alarms going off.
