Carson +1

So, a few people have asked me lately if I'm keeping up with Carson's blog.  The answer is obviously no.  It makes me feel so guilty as I totally had my act together when he was first born.  Now as he's gotten older, the laziness has definitely set in.  I'm recommitting myself though - so here goes.

The last 9 months have been pretty eventful at the Woo house.  Carson has really blossomed into a big guy.  He's in the Pre-K program at his preschool, and though he doesn't start kindergarten until next Fall, he's learned so much. His speech has improved so dramatically I'd venture to say he's even considered a chatterbox.  I couldn't be more proud.

And, he's getting very excited to welcome his baby sister in the next few weeks.  We haven't really talked about it given all the challenges we had with Carson (a preemie at 30 weeks).  So we didn't want to jinx anything.  And the road getting here has been really rough.  I'm 34 weeks today and so thankful if Baby Girl arrives now we'll be at our preferred hospital - versus a trauma NICU facility.  Can't adequately put into words how thankful I am, but as i look at the health of Carson and the health of Baby Girl Woo, I get pretty teary eyed.

And below are just a few pics and videos of Carson through the last few months.  Lately, he's become the water boy, loving to swim.  And he's riding his "big bike" albeit with training wheels.  And he's really into helping Mom and Dad with anything he can.  Now if we could just get him to eat a vegetable.

So, now that I'm officially done with work and on maternity leave, I will be updating more frequently.  And hopefully I'll keep it up even after I return to work in February.
