Preschool and summer adventures

It's been way too long since our last post. So much has changed in Carson's life - namely he's now a preschooler. Carson is on week 5 at school - and he's doing great (now). Week one was filled with tears, for both me and Carson. But, on his first day he was lucky enough to ride a pony, pet a sheep and goat, and see a few ducks and chicks. Not too shabby for day 1. And, it was so much fun he couldn't stay awake through lunch. Instead, he laid his head down - right into his peanut butter sandwich. He's almost gotten the hang of everything now, loving his teachers and classmates. Every once in a while we still get a few tears with our morning drop offs, but so much better.

We were able to get out to Seattle to visit our cousins for a few days too. Nice to have a change of pace without, see family and friends. We spent a lot of time relaxing, trampolining, time by the lake, Carson's first boat ride, second boat ride, and party time with Snoop Dog. Carson had a great time but was ready to come home.

But more than ever i've been going through my own "moments". As a mother, I have a lot of those "time is moving too fast", "my boy is growing up too fast", "there's never enough hours in the day" moments. Carson has changed so much over the last few months, getting taller, more words, more personality (if that was possible). I try so hard to remember all the sweet things he says, because I feel like my heart is constantly melting. And he's learning so much too. He knows his letters, numbers, colors, shapes. And he's just so proud of himself. And I couldn't be prouder myself.
Sad goodbye at the first day of school
I'm not so sure about this
