On a bright side Carson is enjoying more solids as he has added to his repertoire of rice cereal and peas - carrots, squash, bananas, apples, oatmeal and pears. He really loves the oatmeal, but is not a picky eater at all, so far. Still no teeth, but seemingly teething with a lot of drooling. Also we have lowered the crib twice, now to the lowest setting, and he sleeps with just a blanket and his lovies, and sometimes (well just twice) turns over and sleeps on his stomach. We feel so lucky as Carson really does sleep well, almost every night down by 8:30 and up at 6:00am, although there is a margin of error of 1 hour or so.

Speaking of margin of error, the presidential polls are tightening, although Carson has not picked his favorite or winner yet as he correctly picked the Giants to win the SB. We hear a lot of "oh, oo, oohs" and his first consanant is a "b" and he says 'be, ba, bu, boo", he has yet to get the 'ma, mah, mas". Not as political as some babies, (see You Tube) he may be trying to voice his opinion early. We will wait till November. I am just waiting for the "da, da, dahs".
When do babies recognize certains sounds? And do they even know what they are hearing? Of course Carson recognizes our (Allison and my) voices but what about other sounds? He loves hearing dogs bark, and the "woof" or "rrrroufff" sounds gets a giggle - I have yet to get this on video. Why do babies laugh, what makes something funny? Yesterday Allison witnessed Carson cracking himself up. Carson fake sneezed "ha choo" and he made himself laugh. Well now anytime we fake sneeze "ha-choo" he will just crack up. See the video below and keep coming back soon, I promise more updates in store and please comment.
