A cut above

Over the course of 12 hours I managed to make Carson bleed twice! Once cutting his fingernails, which Allison will not do anymore because of a similar incident months earlier, and then the next morning as Carson was on our bed. It was one of those moments when you test the limits of you and your baby, he started to crawl near the edge and then .... he started to fall! I managed to catch him, but he flipped over and banged his head against the wood railing! Bonk, ouch, blood, pain, cry! He was bleeding very red and it started to flow right on his left eyebrow. I applied pressure, we bandaged him up and eventually I took him to the ER. The ER was very good, cleaned up the cut and applied Dermabond to glue the cut closed and that was it. Although Carson initially cried, he was no worse for the wear and I think I was the most worried and angry at myself. I am sure it will be one of many. As you can see from the picture that day it is not too bad and it is healing nicely! Phew!
