Time is flying

It's been way too long since my last post. I feel like time is slipping by way too quickly. I think the main reason is I started back at work February 6th. It already feels like forever though its just been two-ish weeks. It's been incredibly hard for me this time around. Not sure if its a function of knowing how great these early days are or if I'm just unmotivated at work. I'm pretty sure it's the former.

Miss M has really started to blossom into a little girl. Her personality is showing more each day. I look at her now and try to predict the little girl she will become. I know this isn't the most productive use of time but I just can't help myself. Marlo is so fascinated with everything around her. She adores her brother and his silliness and stares and laughs every chance she gets. She also loves gazing outside, stares at artwork and really loves tv (I know we are terrible). She loves to have your undivided attention and "talks" constantly. She already likes having books read to her and is trying to sit up on her own. She loves her exersauser and cracks herself up by jumping up and down in it. I'd like to think she is missing her mommy now that I'm back at work but she seems very happy with her new daycare friends at teachers. My heart aches constantly though when I'm not with her - hopefully that eases up a bit soon. Oh, and she's eating solids. Rice cereal, carrots, squash. My big girl just keeps getting bigger.

Last week also marked Marlo's first daycare illness. A good 7 day stretch of diarrhea. Mommy is ready to build her little immune system up quickly.

The other momentous occasion was our family vacation to Maui. It was my lady hurrah before starting back at work and the week was amazing. Marlo loved being next-to-naked and Carson loved the pool and ocean. We saw whales out at sea and all kinds of animals at the local aquarium. I love Hawaii so much - it's always hard to come home.

The latest pics are below. And I'm so behind we missed Marlo's 5 month bday. We'll have a 'fake' a picture this week.
