Mr. Independent

I feel like everyday brings so many new developments in our house. Carson is getting bigger, cuter, and more personality (but still no walking or talking really). But, he has figured out you don't need words to assert your will. He's very good with whining, shaking his head "no" (apparently it's very funny to do this whenever we ask him a question), swatting away the spoon when he's done eating, or squirming and crawling away at light speed when he DOES NOT want that diaper put back on. I'm trying very hard not to react but I'm finding that very hard. My first thought is to do anything necessary to keep Carson happy. The second is to be just as stubborn back and talk in my mean mommy voice. A little voice inside my head is telling me both of those gut reactions probably aren't the best. So, I'm working very hard to gain patience and realize that the little man is just growing up. It's all a phase and he's still my sweet little angel. That is until he throws a spoon of oatmeal at my head. :)

So, with that, I also wanted to share a few new pictures of our recent trip to the park and playing around. Enjoy and we miss you all!!

love the new pics of Carson... keep them coming! Wish we could be at the park with you guys. It has been so cold here, it is kind of ridiculous! Can't wait to get back, we talk about it everyday. Actually I think everyone is a tad sick of us at this point. Leaving was the biggest mistake we ever made :( But we will be back... just feel like we are missing out on so much while we are gone. BTW, looks like we will be coming into town in the next month for a business trip for Milan. Hopefully the weather is nice and we can bring the kids to the park :) Miss you guys!!!!

So fun! Love the pics -- its so silly that we haven't had a playground date yet since it is literally in between our places.

Lila is Miss Independent too, she has perfected the "gimme attention right now or I'll scream" death stare. She had a meltdown at Enzo's because she wanted to go outside and I wouldn't let her (raining!) I share your pain, and don't really know what to do either. Mamahood is tough huh?

Miss you! We must do a playdate soon.
