16 Weeks Old!!

So sorry for the break in posts here. Life has been a little busy lately...

All is good in the sometimes sunny San Francisco. Carson continues to thrive and hits the 16 week mark today. It seems everyday brings a new development with him. The biggest change has been his sleeping - or sometimes lack thereof. A few weeks ago Carson wouldn't sleep during the day, he was too excited because he was starting to realize the world around him. This was exciting but he was so over stimulated that he would freak out half way through the day. Whining and crying and so frustrated he didn't know what to do. The following week he made up for it. Carson would sleep nearly all day, only up to feed, and he would still sleep soundly through the night, though getting up every 4 hours to eat. This week brings something different. Carson is much more awake during the day, but he's now cranky. He sits quietly and observes his surroundings. He is more interested in playing and his toys are suddenly fun. But, he still loves mommy being around all the time. So now Carson will follow me - either in his bouncy chair on in his sling. It's pretty cool how much he is taking in his environment now.

And we have also been very busy with making new friends and visiting relatives. We've spent more time with our favorite "big kid" Jackson Oldberg. He's been pretty awesome to "baby Carson" as long as his mom Marla doesn't spend too much time holding the baby. We've had a couple lunches and a park session. Now Jackson is just waiting for Carson to get big enough so they can go golfing together.

We also had a fun first Easter over at Grandma and Grandpa Woo's. Everyone was surprised when Auntie Staci and Uncle Mike came in from LA. It was a great day of family and food - Carson was even so lucky to get his first two Easter baskets (thanks Chris and Lisa). Carson slept through most of it, but I'd like to think he had a really good time.

Also, the other big news is we FINALLY finished Carson's room. It took many days of taping, painting, measuring and more painting but we did it. Check it out, I'm really happy with it!

This weekend Grandma and Grandpa Williams are coming out and Carson is so excited (can you tell I project a little?). Not sure what's in store but it should be fun.
So, in a nutshell, that's about it. We'll try to be better with updates and hopefully a few new videos soon. Love you all!

I LOVE what you did with the room. It looks so cheery! I'm really impressed you guys did that on your own... can't imagine all the headaches with "staying in the lines". :)
